Minimum Requirements

  • M + 3 Matric plus 3 years of study Qualification with 360 credits or Diploma NQF 6 in the following fields of study: Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Town and Regional Planning, Nature Conservation, or other closely related disciplines at NQF level 6 or 7.
  • Youth between 18 – 35 years of age, people with disability are encouraged to apply
  • Required documents: Application letter, Curriculum vitae, copy qualifications
  • South African Citizens residing in the City of Johannesburg.

Primary Function

  • Facilitate and coordinate the Directorate initiatives within the City, including the development of policies, strategies and plans to ensure open space planning and management is implemented within the City.

Key Performance Areas

  • Administration and record keeping.
  • Provide support for the development of the City's policies and tools.
  • Compile reports summarising findings and recommendations from site visits and sharing it with relevant parties.

Leading Competencies

  • Computer literacy including MS Office Applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Coordinating skills.
