Corporate Events Business Development Partner

Part-Time Independent Contractor | Performance-Based Earnings

A growing corporate events management company is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Business Development Partner to help expand its corporate client portfolio.

This is a part-time, remote independent contractor opportunity for someone who enjoys opening doors, building meaningful client relationships and securing new business. The successful candidate will work independently while collaborating closely with the leadership team.

Key responsibilities

Identify and pursue corporate event opportunities.

Build relationships with corporate decision-makers.

Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, research and outreach.

Present event management services to prospective clients.

Facilitate introductory meetings and support proposal opportunities.

Maintain an accurate prospect pipeline.

Represent the company professionally in all engagements.

Work with leadership to convert opportunities into confirmed business.

What we are looking for

A natural relationship builder with strong communication skills.

Confidence engaging senior corporate stakeholders.

Strong networking, sales and business development ability.

Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.

An interest in events, hospitality or corporate services.

A collaborative mindset.

Experience in business development, sales, account management or corporate relationship management is advantageous. Formal qualifications are less important than your ability to build relationships and deliver results.

Working arrangement

Part-time and remote, with flexible hours. Applicants should preferably be based in Johannesburg or surrounding areas, with their own laptop, mobile phone and reliable internet connection. Client meetings and event delivery support may occasionally be required. Approved event-day support is remunerated separately.

Earnings and growth

Remuneration is performance-based. Earnings become payable once a client introduced by the Business Development Partner signs an agreement and the agreed deposit has been received.

As the business grows, this role may develop into a permanent leadership support position, subject to business requirements and demonstrated performance.
