Bartender

Job Summary

• The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established service standards, maintaining bar stock and cleanliness, completing daily inventory and sales reports, handling cashiering duties when required, and delivering exceptional guest service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, and serve beverages and cocktails according to standardized recipes and service standards.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, operating equipment, storage areas, and beverage stock at established par levels.
• Complete daily inventory, stock requisitions, sales, transfer, breakage, spoilage, and cashier reports.
• Handle cashiering duties, process guest payments, reconcile sales, and submit daily cash reports.
• Prepare mise en place, garnishes, syrups, juices, and beverage stations before service.
• Store and serve wines and beverages at the correct temperatures and maintain refrigeration equipment.
• Perform suggestive selling to increase beverage sales and provide exceptional guest service.
• Build positive relationships with guests and colleagues and assist other departments when required.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, colleagues, and management.
• Minimum of 2 years' hospitality experience, preferably as a bartender.
• Sound knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and beverage preparation.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Micros is advantageous.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
