Barista (Beverage Solutions)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other café offerings.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Operate coffee machines and related equipment in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain product quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Ensure the coffee station and service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale POS system.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
• Promote products and contribute to achieving sales targets.
• Assist with catering events and mobile coffee services when required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous experience as a Barista, Café Assistant, or in a customer-facing hospitality role.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso-based beverages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Cash handling and POS experience will be advantageous.
• Passion for coffee and beverage trends.
