Bakery Location: Hillcrest/Upper Highway Area, Durban
Manager Employment Type: Full Time
We are looking for an energetic, hands-on Bakery Manager to lead our in-store bakery. The ideal candidate is passionate for customer service, food quality, team leadership, and creating flare for baking.
Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operations of the bakery department. • Supervise, train, and motivate bakery staff. • Ensure high-quality bakery products are produced consistently. • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health standards. • Control stock, ordering, wastage, and inventory levels. • Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer queries. • Achieve sales, profit, and productivity targets.
Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12). • 3–5 years' bakery experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role. • Strong knowledge of bakery production and food safety practices. • Leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays. • Computer literacy and stock management experience are advantageous.
