Backup & Storage Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor backup jobs and alerts to ensure successful data protection and recoverability • Support the maintenance and management of storage platforms across on-premises and cloud environments • Assist with backup testing and restoration activities • Troubleshoot first-line backup, storage, and infrastructure issues and escalate when necessary • Maintain accurate documentation of backup schedules, configurations, and system changes • Support infrastructure and operational teams with day-to-day technical activities • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on backup reliability and storage performance • Participate in a shift-based environment supporting 24/7 operations Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Education: Diploma, Degree, or Certification in Information Technology or a related field
• Advantageous Certifications: A+ and N+
• Experience:
• Previous exposure to IT Support, System Administration, or Infrastructure environments advantageous
• Exposure to backup and storage technologies beneficial but not essential

• Technical Skills:
• Basic understanding of backup and storage concepts
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of infrastructure and operational support environments

• Additional Requirements:
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow structured processes and maintain accurate documentation
• Willingness to learn specialised backup and storage technologies
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and night shifts in a 24/7 environment
