Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services
• Build and support APIs and core business functionality that drive system performance
• Develop integration solutions that connect various platforms, systems, and technologies
• Monitor, optimise, and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability
• Support and maintain cloud-hosted infrastructure, databases, and application services
• Collaborate with development, testing, and support teams to resolve technical challenges
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD processes to improve deployment efficiency
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products, features, and platform capabilities

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field advantageous
• Minimum of 5 years' professional software development experience
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining enterprise-grade backend systems
• Experience working in cloud-based and agile development environment
• Strong proficiency in Java and modern backend development frameworks
• Experience designing and developing APIs and service-oriented architectures
• Solid knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS
• Strong database experience with MSSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases
• Sound understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices
• Ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar development and deployment tools advantageous
• Exposure to .NET technologies beneficial
• Full-stack development experience advantageous
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team
