Back end Developer

Our Company is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that power our digital banking and payment platforms. About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing robust backend services, designing efficient data engineering solutions, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical banking systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet both customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Node.js and Java. • Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data engineering solutions. • Integrate backend systems with frontend applications and third-party platforms. • Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and compliance with banking standards. • Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical issues. • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices. • Support the delivery of high-quality software through agile methodologies. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in backend software development.
• Proven experience developing applications using Node.js and Java.
• Strong background in Data Engineering, including ETL development and database optimization.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable backend architectures.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience within the fintech, banking, or payments industry.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Node.js and Java.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and automated deployments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Knowledge of application security and performance optimization best practices.
