Introduction

Our client is looking for the following candidate to join the core feature team iJIX, operating and developing solutions across all international Group production facilities. In this role, you will take ownership of a highly production-critical software environment responsible for Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) parts supply workflows, ensuring seamless logistics and assembly continuity.

As a senior developer, you will merge technical theory with practical implementation to deliver scalable, high-performance software and provide structural guidance to team members.

• Expert C# Development: 8+ years of comprehensive development experience with Csharp and the Microsoft technology stack, specializing in clean, maintainable, and well-documented backend logic and enterprise framework integration.

• Distributed Architectures: Deep technical mastery in defining and maintaining scalable microservices frameworks, containerized environments, and serverless computing layers within Azure and other cloud environments.

• Technical Mentorship & DevOps Steering: Proven capability to guide internal engineering teams and external consultants through unrefined requirements, validate high-quality deliverables, and streamline complete CI/CD pipelines under direct leadership.

• Location: Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office Rotation

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering & Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain robust C# applications, backend services, and production-critical message handling layers within global templates.

• Collaboration & Alignment: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, Sub Product Owners, and other technical domains to unpack complex requirements and deliver optimized business outcomes.

• Agile Refinement & Delivery: Content-wise steer Agile ceremonies, from stand-ups to sprint planning, and contribute to the functional refinement and sizing of user stories.

• Code Quality & QA: Participate in rigorous code reviews to enforce software security and testing standards (manual and automated), and document procedures to ISO specifications.

• DevOps Support & Problem Analysis: Support existing software solutions under operational constraints, performing problem analysis to solve complex problems within diverse systems.

• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Actively mentor and coach Junior and Advanced developers, championing technical upskilling and knowledge sharing within and between feature teams.

• Relevant IT or Software Engineering Degree.

• Minimum of 8+ years of active C# software development experience.

• Extensive experience operating within modern cloud-native architectures.

Core Software Development & Engineering

• Proficiency in Csharp and enterprise frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Core, EF).

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, Microservices design, and RESTful API engineering.

• Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance applications.

• SQL or NoSQL database mastery.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Familiarity with Cloud and Container architectures.

• Experience utilizing Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) for container orchestration.

• Proven experience developing and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Excellent understanding of version control systems, specifically Git.

• Methodologies: Active usage of Agile or Scrum processes.

Advantageous Skills

• Practical domain experience in AI/GenAI Ops or large-scale automotive JIT/JIS systems.

• Background building technical skills/agents for internal automated platforms.

• Hands-on experience with advanced Azure technologies: Event-Hub, Service Bus, Stream Analytics.

• Certifications in cloud or DevOps technologies.

• Understanding of modern engineering patterns: DDD, CQRS, Factory, Repository, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, Selenium).
