Who we are looking for

A curious and driven Junior Journalist to research, interview and write engaging news content for a professional audience within the travel and tourism industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their journalism skills, build industry knowledge and work closely with experienced editors in a fast-paced environment.

What will you do

Research and write accurate, engaging news stories for B2B publications

Identify newsworthy stories, trends and angles within the travel and tourism industry

Conduct interviews with industry stakeholders and gather relevant information

Attend industry events, launches and press briefings to source stories and content

Follow up on leads, developments and information to ensure accurate reporting

Turn complex industry developments into clear, informative and engaging articles

Work closely with editors to develop stories and improve reporting and writing skills

Meet daily deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail

Stay up to date with current affairs, business news and developments across the travel and tourism sector

What will you need

A relevant bachelor’s degree. A journalism degree is advantageous but not essential.

One to two years’ practical writing experience gained through journalism, internships, freelance work, communications, content creation, student publications or a similar environment

An excellent command of written and spoken English

Confidence to contact people, conduct interviews and follow up on information

An interest in business, current affairs and the economics of travel and tourism

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Good organisational skills and the ability to meet daily deadlines

An outgoing, professional approach and willingness to attend industry events

A valid driver’s licence and reliable access to your own transport

Knowledge of the travel, tourism or aviation sectors would be advantageous but is not essential
