Start free — we apply for you →Our client is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to their manufacturing facility in Gauteng. This is an opportunity for a technically skilled professional to lead automation initiatives, improve production efficiency, and enhance plant reliability
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and control systems
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimise PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Support equipment installations, commissioning, and plant upgrades
- Diagnose and resolve automation and control system faults
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and equipment reliability
- Develop and maintain electrical and automation documentation
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimise manufacturing processes
- Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and quality standards
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Degree Electrical Engineering/ Automation Engineering
- 3 - 5 Years experience as an Automation Engineer
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VSDs, and industrial networks
- Experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills
