Start free — we apply for you →Our client is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to their manufacturing facility in Gauteng. This is an opportunity for a technically skilled professional to lead automation initiatives, improve production efficiency, and enhance plant reliability
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and control systems
Program, troubleshoot, and optimise PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
Support equipment installations, commissioning, and plant upgrades
Diagnose and resolve automation and control system faults
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and equipment reliability
Develop and maintain electrical and automation documentation
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimise manufacturing processes
Ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and quality standards
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Degree Electrical Engineering/ Automation Engineering
- 3 - 5 Years experience as an Automation Engineer
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VSDs, and industrial networks
- Experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills
