About the Opportunity A leading engineering and automation company is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team in Pretoria North. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative industrial automation projects, control systems, and cutting-edge technologies within a dynamic engineering environment. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions.

• PLC programming, testing, and commissioning.

• Configure and maintain HMI and SCADA systems.

• Troubleshoot and optimize automation and control systems.

• Support system integration and commissioning activities on-site.

• Prepare technical documentation and project reports.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree, Diploma, or BTech in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.

• Experience in industrial automation and control systems.

• PLC programming experience (Siemens, Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Schneider, or similar).

• HMI and SCADA development experience.

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

• Valid driver's license.

• Willingness to travel for project and commissioning work when required.

• Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation

• SCADA platforms

• Industrial networking and communication protocols

• Manufacturing, process plant, mining, FMCG, or industrial automation environments
