Start free — we apply for you →- An experienced Automation Engineer is required to support and optimize industrial control systems, including SCADA and PLC platforms, within a heavy industrial environment. The role involves automation projects, machine upgrades, fault-finding, reporting, control system standardisation, and technical support across multiple operations.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Automation
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar or heavy industrial environment
- Strong SCADA development experience Ignition, FactoryTalk, WinCC
- Strong PLC programming experience Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Delta
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Modbus, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP
- Experience with machine automation, upgrades, and fault-finding
- Understanding of OHSA and industrial safety standards
- Computer literate MS Office
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Willingness to work overtime and provide after-hours technical support when required
