Au Pair | Bryanston | R12 000 Per Month

• A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their children aged 10 years old and 5 years old
• Area: Bryanston
• Ages: children aged 10 years old and 5 years old
• Working hours: Monday – Friday: 12h30 / 13h30 – 17h30
• Duties: collecting both children from school noting that they may finish at different times, informing parents via the family WhatsApp group of all movements, ensuring all school belongings are brought home, unpacked and lunch boxes cleared. Ensure the children have lunch after school and remain hydrated, assisted with daily hygiene routines / monitored and reminded where necessary.
• Academic support is a key part of this role - actively supervise homework and projects, ensuring work is completed to the child's best ability and corrected where necessary. Develop study skills and assist with general guidance through school work with focus on Maths, Afrikaans and English. Provide planned educational extension activities with a weekly plan of these activities with weekly progress reports,
• Transport to extracurricular activities, participate in indoor and outdoor play within the complex, work cooperatively with the family's domestic helper, and ensure all areas are cleaned and tidied after meals, homework and play.
• No screen time is permitted unless specifically approved by the parents. Personal phone use should be kept to a minimum and the older child's laptop may only be used for school-related work.
• The children's safety is paramount at all times. Shopping, refuelling and other errands must be completed before collecting the children, with no stops permitted after school collection. Remain actively involved with the children throughout the afternoon, maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation, and communicate professionally with the family at all times.
• Requirements: Strongly academic, able to assist with study skills and general academic support, mature. Candidate must not have a vehicle that is a VW Polo due to the attached hijacking risk
• Start date: ASAP start – permanent contract
• Salary: R12 000 per month gross, before deductions + SARS rates per km R4.95

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
