- PhD in Computer Science or related field.
Relevant research and teaching experience at tertiary institutions
- At least more than seven 07 years for Associate Professor / five 05 years for Senior Lecturer.
- Record of lecturing Computer Science modules/courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Evidence of successful postgraduate students Honours, Master and PhD supervision and publications in reputable journals.
- Evidence of external assessment of dissertations and thesis for Associate Professor.
- Evidence of the ability to establish research collaborations and raise research funds.
- Evidence of community engagement activities in Computer Science related projects.
- Ability and evidence of sourcing third stream income.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to
- Teach Computer Science courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise postgraduate Honours, Masters and Doctoral students.
- Mentor junior staff with regard to teaching and research activities.
- Undertake research and publish in conference proceedings, accredited research journals and/or books.
- Participate in departmental research and third-stream income generating projects.
- Develop funded proposals for community engagement projects and participate in departmental existing projects.
- Perform administrative and managerial duties as allocated by the Head of Department.
