We are seeking a motivated Assistant Site Manager to support daily operations of a busy convenience retail store with bakery, hot foods, butchery, and an attached fuel forecourt .
This role is ideal for candidates with supervisory experience who are ready to step up into full management.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Site Manager in running daily operations across shop, bakery, hot foods, butchery, and forecourt
Support with stock control, shrinkage management, and GP% monitoring
Conduct and check cash-ups, reconciliations, and daily reporting
Supervise and train staff, ensuring standards are met
Participate in stock takes, price updates, and promotional activities
Stand in for the Site Manager when required and take ownership of assigned departments
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor / Department Manager / Assistant Manager in retail, food service, or fuel forecourt
Strong understanding of cash handling, stock control, and variance reporting
Good leadership and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn back-office systems and develop into a Site Manager role
Proactive, reliable, and able to handle responsibility in a pressured environment
