Assistant Resident Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract)

Introduction

A leading multi-disciplinary project management firm urgently seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer who will play an integral role in driving the company’s road project in the Free State area, and assist in ensuring quality and delivery from all parties involved.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

• Applies, adheres and manages site quality in accordance with ISO standards

• Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.

• Will be required to travel between project sites

• Monitor and report daily on construction progress ensuring that the project remains within budget and construction program

• Monitor the quality of the road and other works

• Overall responsibility for site and site staff management

• Monitor all safety procedures and take decisions to safeguard all employees and the general public

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Degree/Diploma Civil Engineering

• 5-7 years’ experience in road construction methods and materials.

• Minimum 3 year’s site experience on road construction projects.
