- Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification preferably a B. Eng or B.Sc. Eng in Engineering and Eligibility for registration as Candidate Engineer
- A minimum of 0-3 year's relevant experience
Key Performance Areas
- Provide technical support to the Municipal Energy Efficiency section management & provide technical support to the Generation Development Renewable Energy section management
- Assisting with project development, analysis and reporting on small-to- medium scale RE projects;
- Providing support in energy utilisation studies of plant, equipment, premises, systems, in order to compile a comprehensive historical database on each energy system component;
- Checking the budget allocations for specific acquisitions, interventions and/or activities required to sustain service delivery levels and preparing and submitting requisitions/ motivations for approval;
- Co-ordinates tasks/ activities of field workers / interns associated with performance, productivity and discipline.
- Exercise appropriate level of care in the planning, execution and control of city-owned generation projects.
- Exercise appropriate level of care in the management of contracts EPC, EPCM, etc. within GDMEE portfolio under management
