Core Criteria
• 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar camp or lodge environment • Culinary diploma required • Strong knowledge of food standards and presentation • Sound understanding of stock control, storerooms and inventory systems • Excellent computer literacy • Proficient in written and spoken English • Strong problem-solving, communication and active listening skills • Professional, resourceful and independent, with a natural instinct for sociable hosting • Proven track record of strong staff relations and the ability to motivate a team • Genuine respect for conservation and the ethos of bush life • Valid driver's license Core Responsibilities:
• Support the day-to-day running of the lodge across guest activities, hosting, housekeeping, catering, the curio shop, stock, banking, admin and maintenance • Help implement environmental and social standards within the camp • Ensure guests consistently receive service that exceeds expectations • Assist with payroll and HR processes, meeting required deadlines • Contribute to succession planning for the camp alongside management and HR • Support performance evaluation processes for camp staff • Drive ongoing staff training to uphold standards and support personal development • Provide support to the Lodge Manager as required • Assist with counselling and disciplinary processes when needed On Offer:
