- Basic R425 qualification diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- A post-basic nursing qualification with duration of at least 1 year accredited with SANC in: Critical Care: Trauma & Emergency R212 or Critical Care: General R212 or Operating Theatre Nursing R212 or Orthopaedic Nursing 212 or Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care R48 OR 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing R174 + post graduate diploma R635 in Critical Care / Emergency / Orthopaedic / Peri-operative / Primary Care Nursing
- Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
- A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse
- At least 6 years must be appropriate experience in specific specialty after obtaining 1 year post basic qualification
- At least 3 years must be experience at management level
- Valid driver's licence, willingness to work shifts night duty on rotation, overtime, standby duties
- Experience/exposure in leading and managing teams
DUTIES
- Provide leadership and supervision for provision of effective and efficient comprehensive holistic nursing care
- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders
- Coordinate and ensure implementation and adherence to quality assurance
- Efficient and effective management, utilization and supervision of resources
- Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development
