- Basic R425 qualification i.e. diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General, Psychiatry & Midwifery.
- Current Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse. A minimum of 8 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognisable experience at management level in quality assurance unit.
- A qualification in Health Services Management / Nursing Administration from a recognised institution will be an added advantage. Extensive knowledge in customer care service program.
- Relevant knowledge and understanding of legislative framework applicable to practice in public health facility. Computer literacy in MS Office Package MS Word, Ms. Excel, and MS. PowerPoint. Presentation skills.
- Competencies: The applicant must have Operational Management skills. Complete knowledge of the National Core Standard for Health Establishment. A valid driver's licence.
Duties
- Coordinate reporting investigations and management of complaints and serious adverse events, incidences in the hospital. Participate in selected clinical audits. Provide initiative to improve customer care in a user-friendly environment. Advocate for and ensure the promotion of National Core NORMS Standards and Ideal Hospital Framework.
- Conduct client satisfaction surveys and share results with the relevant stakeholders. Ensure that monthly internal audits are conducted in patients care units in compliance with National Core Standards.
