- Preparation and/or review of the monthly and quarterly reports.
- Preparation of the annual financial statements as per GRAP standards.
- Preparation of the quarterly interim financial statements.
- Co-ordinate internal and external audit queries and ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
- Preparation of risk management reports.
- Ensure accounting records are accurately maintained accrual basis.
- Ensure accurate that debtors and creditors reconciliations, including age analysis are performed on monthly basis.
- Management of the asset register.
- Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage staff development and performance against the planned objectives.
- Manage revenue collection, billing, tracing of debtors, writing off of bad debts.
- Expenditure management.
- Preparation and/or review of budget.
- Completion of the ENE and MTEC databases, including National Treasury annual financial statements template and quarterly reports.
Requirements
- Three 3 year post-matric qualification NQF L7 in Finance or Accounting.
- A minimum of three 3 years' experience in accounting or finance Environment.
- 2 years proven managerial or supervisory experience in a finance division.
- Knowledge and experience of accounting or financial systems.
- Knowledge of risk management.
- Knowledge of the PFMA, 1999Act no.1 of 1999, Treasury Regulations, and GRAP Standards.

Additional Advantage
- Postgraduate qualification NQF L8 in Finance or Accounting.
- Experience in the public sector environment.
- Experience in the compilation of the annual financial statements through or using the Caseware system.
