Current registration with the South African Council for Educators (SACE). Hold a valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle. At least three (3) years’ middle management experience, preferably obtained between 2021 and 2026, in a school, college, or Quality Council environment. Required Skills: The successful applicant must have proven understanding, knowledge and experience of: All pieces of legislation that inform Umalusi’s work as a Quality Council The uniqueness of independent schools and private colleges The differentiated role of assessment bodies Accreditation, monitoring and evaluation systems and processes Good verbal and written English communication and report writing skills Sound training and facilitation skills Project management, coordination, and strong administration skills. The successful applicant must: Be dynamic, self-motivated and self-managing Have the ability to work under pressure as an individual and in a team Be willing to travel regularly and extensively and also to work extra hours and/or after hours Have the ability to work within tight timelines and Have extensive computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams). Added Advantage: A post-graduate qualification in education will be an added advantage. Experience as an Umalusi Subject Specialist / Evaluator dealing with evaluation and monitoring of private education institutions will be an added advantage.
