A well-established and respected organisation within the medical / healthcare sector is looking for a proactive Assistant Inventory Manager to join their Operations Division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, analysing inventory data and leading a team to ensure stock accuracy and operational excellence. Detail: What you'll be doing You'll play a key role in supporting the Inventory Manager by ensuring efficient inventory control across the business. Your responsibilities will include managing consignment stock, co-ordinating monthly reconciliations and reporting, driving continuous process improvements and assisting with the management and development of the Consignment Controller team. You'll also monitor inventory costs, identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve stock rotation and ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures. What we're looking for We're looking for someone with previous inventory management experience, ideally gained within medical devices, consumables or pharmaceutical industry or an environment where consignment stock forms part of the operation. To succeed in this role you'll need: Experience working with SYSPRO (highly advantageous) Advanced Microsoft Excel and ODBC skills Solid experience with stock and inventory Advantageous to have consignment knowledge and / or experience Previous team leadership or supervisory experience Strong analytical and reporting ability Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for accuracy The ability to prioritise, solve problems and work well under pressure Qualifications Grade 12 A formal qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or Finance Why apply?
