- Grade 12
- Between 18 and 35 years
- Fluent in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa – Read, Write and Speak
- NO CRIMINAL record and police security clearance not older than 3 months or proof of payment to be submitted with application
- Must be physically fit and mentally health
- Ability to work as part of a team
- High level of responsibility
- Must work overtime when required
- Must not have been part of this program previously
- Candidates must reside within the Bergrivier
- Municipal area proof of address and a sworn affidavit must accompany this application.
- Candidates should not have a fear of confined spaces, heights, depths, water, blood and corpses.
Duties
- To perform basic firefighting and disaster management functions.
- Remuneration: R 250 per day
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Candidates must be willing to work after-hours and over weekends, Must also on request, from time to time render services in other parts of the municipal area.
- Contract period: 01 December 2026 till 30 June 2027 or as otherwise agreed
