REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants should be in possession of a recognised NQF Level 6 qualification in Public Administration/Social Sciences/ Development Studies.
  • Three 3 years' proven experience at supervisory level in the Disability environment/development/governance. Knowledge of Global, regional and national Disability legislative frameworks, i.e. WPRPD, UNCRPD, etc. A valid driver's licence.

DUTIES

  • Provide support in the coordination and facilitation of the Implementation of the national and provincial policy frameworks on Persons with Disabilities.
  • Ensure the Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of legislative frameworks on persons with Disabilities WPRPD, JASF, EEA and UNCRPD. Facilitate Stakeholder engagement and Capacity Building.
  • Coordinate Advocacy and Awareness programmes on People with Disabilities.
  • Provide operational leadership in the management, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of human resources and activities within the OSPD unit.
