- A minimum of bachelor's degree NQF 7 in accounting; or equivalent attach transcript
- New entrants into asset management services environment in other words you must not have worked or held an asset management Services internship before
- Basic understanding of asset management services administration
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel; willingness to learn asset management software
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
- Must be a South African citizen
DUTIES
- Assist in maintaining and updating the University's asset register
- Assist with coordinating inter departmental asset transfers and ensure timely updating of movement documentation and registers
- Assist in processing terminations, new appointments, and allowances
- Assist in conducting physical asset verifications and inventory audits, including reconciliation between physical assets, the Fixed Asset Register FAR, and the General Ledger GL
- Contribute to the overall development of SMU and actively improve institutional culture
- Perform any other duties assigned by the line manage
