- Co-ordinates and controls the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialized tasks activities associated with the installation, maintenance and repair to water and sewer systems, including, monitoring and correcting the productivity and performance outputs of support personnel and, attending to routine/ general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives.
Duties
- Co-ordinates activities associated with the construction and installations of water and sewer networks
- Co-ordinates activities/ sequences associated with trouble shooting/ fault finding and repairing faults in the water reticulation systems
- Co-ordinates activities and sequences associated with maintaining the functionality of water reticulation systems
- Coordinates activities associated with the opening of water and sewer connections
- Perform duties relating to pipe cracking
- Interpret and co-ordinates specific pre-work/ site requirements with regard to installation, repairs and planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel
- Completes internal transactional documentation e.g. time sheets, log Ongoing sheet, progress and productivity field report, etc. and related forms vehicle checklist
- To adhere to health and safety regulations in terms of OHS Act.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10
- Trade Test Certificate Plumbing
- Valid Code C1 driver's license with PrDP
- Proven Plumbing Skills
- Attention to detail
- 2 years relevant experience
- Proficiency in at least 2 two of the 3 three languages of the Western Cape
