MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Trade certificate
- Special Workman, preferably a Proficiency certificate,
- Grade 11 or equivalent N2 level certificate
- 1 – 2 years' experience required
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Perform activities within a trade
- Monitor and control activities by maintaining a log of work, production, or maintenance
- Identify more critical and less critical activities and tasks, and adjust priorities when appropriate
- Communicate with the immediate supervisor and establish material and resources necessary against specific work orders
- Interact with mechanical stores and check allocated components and materials against job cards prior to commencing with loading
- Provide guidelines and specific instructions to subordinates with respect to the preparation of work site for major / minor works and / or setting up of traffic signs during mechanical maintenance along roads
- Supply direction and advice to personnel and give mechanical support and training where necessary
- Ensure that the mechanical section functions eff ectively
