Salary : R 391 224 – R 507 864 per annum T11 Additional Service Benefits : Medical Aid, Pension, Housing Allowance subject to prescribed requirements, 13th Cheque and Group Life Insurance Perks : If applicable None subject to prescribed requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years post apprenticeship experience
• Trade Certificate
• Valid Driver's License Code C1

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Ensure that faults are detected and repaired and functionality restored with minimal disruption to services.
• Ensure that electrical motors at Pump Stations operate energy efficient.
• Ensure that all equipment and instruments communicate effortlessly with each other to prevent loss or damage to equipment and have early warning system in case of leakage or spillage to prevent damage to eco systems.
• Ensure that all the Pump Stations are functioning at a high level of functionality and to prevent any sewerage spillage, freshwater wastage, to prevent to prevent damage to eco systems, to prevent damage to equipment and to ensure an uninterrupted supply to fresh water to town.
• Ensure that all property and equipment are monitored at all times with a live tracking system to ensure that real time messages are sent to prevent theft, damage and vandalism.
• Ensure that the Pump Stations conforms to advanced standards, demands and development specifications.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS ATTACHED TO THE POST

• Must be willing to undergo training /course in order to be qualified to function successfully in the various sub-sections
• Required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Required to work outside normal hours
• Be prepared to be placed on standby
• Must be able to work on uneven terrain
• Have the ability to perform switching operation on networks
• Ability to read technical drawings and work without constant supervision
• Must be computer Literate
• Must be able to communicate in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
