- Trade Test Certificate
- Petrol, Diesel, Earth Moving or Equivalent Mechanic Trade Certificate will be advantageous
- One 1 to two 2 years' relevant experience in fleet maintenance workshop
- Be physically able to carry out all requirements of the post
- A valid Code 10/C1 driver's licence with a valid PrDP
- Applicants will be required to undergo Risk Driving Assessment.
Key Performance Areas
- Provide an inspection and testing service to the workshop for vehicles, plant, equipment and fixed installations.
- Fault-finding, testing, and repairing activities of all such assets to ensure that functionality is restored with minimal disruption to services
- Complete internal transactional documentation, such as time sheets, log sheets and vehicle checklists
- Provide planned and predictive maintenance activities associated with specific functional areas such as building mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Provide inspection and testing service- to the workshop for vehicles, plant, equipment and fixed installations to establish the extent of damage
- Provide labour to effect service and repairs for vehicles or plant
- Assemble mechanical components for reinstallation of vehicle or plant machine
- Attend to field services/repairs as well as on site breakdowns
- Maintain safe work standards as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Assist in training and mentoring of junior staff.
