A management qualification or certification is also essential, equipping you with the leadership and operational insight needed to navigate the complexities of a multi-laboratory environment. These qualifications reflect your readiness to lead with confidence and credibility in a regulated, high stakes setting. You bring with you a solid foundation of at least three years’ experience in a leadership role such as a Technical Lead, where you have managed people, quality, and laboratory operations. Ideally, you have up to six years of experience working within a pathology laboratory environment. This background enables you to lead with insight, anticipate challenges, and drive performance in a way that aligns with Ampath’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Skills Requirements This role calls for a well-rounded skill set that combines technical knowledge with strategic thinking. You are proficient in MS Office and understand the regulatory frameworks that govern our work, including HPCSA regulations, the BCEA, OSH Act, and EE Act. You have a strong grasp of accreditation standards, financial management, and people development practices. Your ability to communicate fluently in English, reason with numerical data, and apply sound business and financial acumen ensures that you can lead effectively, make informed decisions, and inspire confidence across all levels of the organisation.
