HGV Driver – South Africa (Employment in Ireland)

Lee Strand is an established Irish dairy company seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused HGV drivers to join our team in County Kerry, Ireland. Licence & Experience Applicants must hold a valid South African Code 14 licence.

Applicants with strong Code 10 delivery-driving experience are also encouraged to apply if they now hold a valid Code 14 licence and have:

• Excellent delivery-driving experience.
• Strong customer-service or sales experience.
• Confidence dealing directly with customers.
• A professional attitude and good communication skills.

Experience in dairy, food, beverage, refrigerated distribution or FMCG is an advantage. The Role Responsibilities include:

• Delivering fresh dairy products to customers.
• Operating HGVs safely and professionally.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Promoting Lee Strand products and identifying sales opportunities.
• Taking customer orders.
• Loading, unloading and securing deliveries.
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery documentation.
• Complying with Irish road-safety and driving-hours regulations.
• Maintaining company vehicles to a high standard.

Early morning starts, weekend work and manual handling are required. Essential Requirements Applicants must have:

• Valid South African Code 14 licence. • Recent commercial delivery-driving experience (Code 10 or Code 14). • Strong customer-service and communication skills. • Previous sales or route-sales experience. • Good spoken and written English. • Clean or satisfactory driving record. • Verifiable employment references. • Valid South African passport. • Ability to pass medical, licence and background checks. • Willingness to relocate to County Kerry, Ireland. • Willingness to complete the Irish licence exchange and Driver CPC requirements.
