We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking person to join our busy Aquatics Department.

We believe  attitude is everything . If you're eager to learn, enjoy working with people, and have a genuine passion for animals, we'd love to hear from you. Experience is an advantage, but  skills can be taught—the right attitude cannot.

About The Roll.

This is a hands-on position in a large, busy pet retail store where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with customers and the rest of our team to provide outstanding service while maintaining a high standard of animal care.

This role includes

• Assisting customers with fish, aquariums, and aquatic products.

• Caring for freshwater and tropical fish.

• Cleaning and maintaining aquariums and filtration systems.

• Monitoring water quality and the health of livestock.

• Receiving and unpacking stock deliveries.

• Lifting and moving aquariums, bags of gravel, fish food, and other heavy stock.

• Merchandising products and keeping the department clean, organised, and well presented.

• Working as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced retail environment.

What we are looking for

Essential

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

• Friendly, confident, and professional customer service skills.

• Willingness to learn and take initiative.

• Comfortable with manual labour and physically demanding work.

• Able to work in a busy retail environment with a team.

• Reliable, punctual, and well presented.

• Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and retail trading hours.

Advantageous (but not essential)

• Experience keeping tropical, cold-water, or marine fish.

• Knowledge of aquarium maintenance, filtration, and water chemistry.

• Previous experience in a pet shop, aquarium store, or aquatic environment.

• Retail sales experience.
