Apprentice Technician – Automotive
We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Apprentice Technician to join a busy workshop environment. The successful candidate will gain valuable practical experience in vehicle servicing, maintenance, repairs, fault finding and diagnostics while developing their technical skills under the guidance of qualified technicians. Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Previous workshop or apprenticeship experience advantageous
- Genuine interest in the motor industry and vehicle repairs
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good time management and attention to detail
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified technicians with servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Assist with inspections, fault finding and diagnostics
- Perform basic maintenance and mechanical tasks under supervision
- Assist with component replacements and general workshop duties
- Follow manufacturer and workshop procedures
- Correctly use workshop tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and practical skills
