Applications Engineer

A well-established company based in Centurion is looking for a Junior Applications Engineer to join their dynamic and innovative team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, and is excited to bridge the gap between advanced software solutions and real-world challenges. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

• Matric with strong Mathematics results

• B.Eng/Tech Diploma or Degree (advantageous)

• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software (advantageous)

• Exposure to SolidWorks or similar CAD software (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions

• Implement and configure software solutions at client sites

• Consult with clients using SOLIDWORKS software to deliver effective manufacturing solutions

• Provide software support online and on-site

• Continuously expand, maintain, and update SOLIDWORKS product knowledge

• Conduct product demonstrations to support pre-sales activities

• Deliver presentations, webinars, and blogs to support marketing initiatives

• Attend product launches, machining expos, open days, and industry events

• Act as the key link between the customer and the company’s product offerings

Personal Attributes

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Confident and professional when engaging with clients

• Comfortable working with computers and remote support tools such as TeamViewer

• Customer-focused with a positive, service-driven attitude

• Willingness to learn, grow, and develop within a technical environment
