Office Only About the Opportunity Our client in the financial Indistry is seeking a highly skilled Application Technical Specialist to support, maintain and enhance critical business applications. This role is responsible for ensuring application availability, performance, security, and stability within a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing application infrastructure, resolving technical issues, supporting system enhancements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the technology landscape. Detail: DO NOT APPLY IF YOU TO DO NOT FULLY QUALIFY Key Responsibilities Maintain applications through patches, upgrades, bug fixes, and corrective actions. Monitor application upgrades, new releases, and technology changes affecting supported systems. Configure and optimize application infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. Investigate and resolve medium to high-complexity technical issues in collaboration with users, developers, and stakeholders. Provide reports, recommendations, and insights on system performance and availability. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships relating to application support. Ensure compliance with security standards and application governance requirements. Share technical knowledge with development and support teams. Participate in after-hours standby support, production deployments, and business continuity exercises when required. Technologies Supported The role will involve supporting and administering technologies including: SharePoint On-Premises (Subscription Edition) Microsoft Windows Server 2019 / 2022 / 2025 Vizor Azure Infrastructure Data Gateway Services IIS TCP/IP Networking VLAN Technologies Minimum Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in: Computer Science Information Technology Information Management Or an equivalent qualification.
