Our client is seeking an experienced Application Security Architect to lead and drive application security architecture across complex technology environments. The successful candidate will focus on securing mobile banking platforms, APIs, cloud environments and modern software delivery pipelines while integrating security into the software development lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Define and oversee application security controls for mobile applications, APIs and identity management.

• Integrate security into cloud platforms, DevSecOps pipelines and software development processes.

• Identify application security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Drive secure authentication, authorisation and API security practices.

• Assess emerging technologies, including AI and agentic systems, to identify and address security vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with software engineering, architecture and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure solution delivery.

• Provide technical guidance and oversight on application security best practices.

Desired Experience & Qualification

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of relevant experience in application development, application security or security architecture.

• Proven experience in application security architecture and secure software design.

• Strong technical knowledge of:

• Application programming and secure software development.

• Mobile application security.

• API security and identity management.

• Cloud security.

• DevSecOps and security integration within CI/CD pipelines.

• AI security and emerging AI-driven technologies.

• Ability to translate complex security risks into practical architectural solutions.
