Analyst Developer (AEM) - BSTD

Detailed description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Defining own work plan and deliverables with guidance from Team leader/senior developer.
• Conducting analysis and design quality IT solutions according to approved business requirements and in line with governance frameworks.
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Designing and developing of AEM solutions and providing support on AEM best practices, ensuring efficient and effective use of the platform.
• Delivering quality IT solutions through development, integration, testing and deployment according to the approved design specification and within agreed timelines.
• Ensuring total quality of an IT solution according to approved standards.
• Consistently providing IT solution maintenance and support in the designated area, thereby ensuring business continuity in line with the agreed service standards.
• Keeping abreast of developments in information and communication technology ICT trends and within the specialised area of technology in order to design and develop the most appropriate IT solution within the area of responsibility.
• Actively participating and supporting the team towards the completion of goals.
• Mentoring and coaching of team members.
• Engaging with internal and external user communities to ensure that business benefits are realised.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Job requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

• a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent qualification NQF 7;
• five to eight years' experience within an application development and support environment with relevant technical knowledge;
• three to five years' experience in digital transformation projects, particularly with AEM Forms and/or Sites.

Technical knowledge preferred

• Functional Adobe Experience Manager AEM platform experience AEM Forms and Sites.
• knowledge of workflow management environments;
• understanding of design patterns and best practices for developing high-quality, maintainable code.
• proficiency in programming languages including Java, HTL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• experience working with REST, Sling and SOAP in a production environment.
• expertise in AEM-related technologies such as Apache Felix, Apache Sling, Jackrabbit, CRXDE, and others.
• experience with various testing methodologies, including unit, integration, functional, and performance testing.
• familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit and Cucumber.
• knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle SDLC, Change Control, and Release Management processes.
• familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies for project execution.
• experience with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins, Cucumber, SonarQube, Maven, Junit, JaCoCo, Selenium and others.
• exposure to Linux operating systems.
• proven experience in negotiating outcomes and managing stakeholder expectations.
• experience in facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions.
