An Accountant

A well-established organisation within the property sector is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers excellent exposure across the full accounting function, with responsibility for financial reporting, tax compliance, lease accounting, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and statutory reporting. You'll work across group entities and property portfolios, supporting the preparation of accurate financial information for clients and listed funds while working closely with finance managers, auditors, and other stakeholders. The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a technically focused environment and is looking to expand their commercial accounting experience within the property industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete lease accounting adjustments and related financial entries • Prepare and post monthly and annual journals • Reconcile debtor, creditor, and loan account balances • Monitor outstanding debtor and creditor accounts and follow up on discrepancies • Reconcile supplier accounts against project payment schedules • Perform monthly bank deposit reconciliations • Review and analyse trial balances and general ledger accounts • Prepare and submit VAT, provisional tax, and annual income tax returns • Ensure financial records are maintained in line with IFRS reporting requirements • Update insurance records for newly acquired and disposed assets Qualifications & Skills:
