We are seeking a qualified Dangerous Goods Truck Driver to safely transport hazardous materials across designated routes. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with industry regulations while delivering goods in a timely and efficient manner. You will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and contributing to our commitment to responsible logistics.
Key Responsibilities - Operate trucks equipped for transporting dangerous goods, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. - Ensure the correct loading and unloading of hazardous materials, verifying that all materials are handled safely. - Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety and compliance. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to hazardous materials transport, including manifests and compliance records. - Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to ensure timelines are met and any issues are addressed promptly. - Participate in training and safety meetings to stay informed about best practices and regulatory changes. - Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. - Report any incidents, accidents, or equipment issues to management immediately, ensuring adherence to company policies.
Requirements
- Avsec (aviation security) level 3 certification.
- IVS permit to gain access to all freight areas on the airport.
- Must be a south African citizen
- Must have a clear criminal record.
