- M + 3 Matric plus 3 years of study Qualification with 360 credits or Diploma NQF 6 in the following fields of study: Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Conservation Management, or closely related disciplines at NQF level 6 or 7.
- Youth between 18 – 35 years of age, people with disability are encouraged to apply

Primary Function
- To support the implementation of the Air Quality Regulation function and the management of the Atmospheric Emissions Licensing System for listed activities, as well as the management of other control emitters, by facilitating full compliance to the Air Quality Act and other associated regulations, standards and guidelines, while promoting a safe and healthy environment as well as clean air for all city residents.
Key Activities
- Assist with processing and administration of Atmospheric Emission Licences AELs and related regulatory requirements.
- Support site inspections, emissions monitoring and compliance assessments of industrial activities.
- Assist with air quality data collection, emissions inventories, NAEIS reporting and regulatory reports.
- Support the investigation, documentation and follow-up of air pollution complaints and non- compliance matters.
- Assist with air quality programmes, stakeholder engagements, awareness campaigns and implementation of relevant policies and by-laws.
