Position Overview

MRI Software is seeking an AI Solutions Consultant to lead and drive the hands-on adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced productivity tools across our Professional Services organization. As a hands-on AI expert, you will leverage proven, real-world AI experience to identify high-impact opportunities, improve delivery efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate project outcomes. Utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies-such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, OpenAI, and Power Platform-you will combine deep technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to design, build, and deploy practical, enterprise-grade AI solutions that transform global project delivery.

Please note, this position is required to work in accordance with U.S. hours (EST) 8:30am-5:00pm (EST) as well as working South African Public Holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI & Automation Development
  • Design and build practical, enterprise AI-powered solutions, Copilot agents, and custom workflows using Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop and test proof-of-concepts, pilots, and reusable accelerators using emerging AI tools to reduce delivery effort.
  • Delivery Optimization
  • Analyze delivery processes to engineer AI and automation solutions for high-friction manual tasks.
  • Enhance project documentation, requirements gathering, testing, and reporting through target AI integrations (e.g., SOW and project management automation).
  • Technical Innovation
  • Evaluate emerging AI models, LLMs, and retrieval-based solutions (RAG) to recommend practical adoption strategies.
  • Integrate generative AI and AI-assisted development tools directly into existing professional services workflows.
  • Knowledge Management
  • Document AI solution architectures, design patterns, and enterprise best practices.
  • Develop internal AI knowledge repositories to drive global consistency.
  • Training & Enablement
  • Educate and mentor consultants and project teams on prompt engineering and effective AI tool usage.
  • Deliver interactive demonstrations, workshops, and enablement sessions on practical AI use cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven, hands-on experience building, configuring, or deploying AI solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Large Language Models, or prompt engineering).
  • 3+ years of overall experience in software development, consulting, automation, or technical delivery.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, or equivalent enterprise workflow automation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience building functional chatbots, Copilot agents, or custom LLM-powered applications using Microsoft Copilot Studio or Azure AI.
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and REST services for connecting AI models to enterprise software.
  • Experience with SQL, data manipulation, and structured/unstructured data processing for AI pipelines.
  • Prior experience in Professional Services environments or enterprise software implementation.
  • Proven success collaborating across global teams.
