- BSc or Diploma in Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in crop production, technical sales, or agricultural research.
- Strong understanding of South African farming practices.
- Valid Code 08 EB Driver's License and willingness to travel frequently to service clients in the region.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
- ESG Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of sustainable agriculture, regenerative farming, and ESG reporting frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE LIMITED TO Field Scouting & Diagnostics:
- Conduct routine field visits to scout for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Crop & Soil Management
- Develop tailored fertilization, irrigation, and crop protection programs based on soil and tissue analyses.
Technical Support
- Advise commercial growers on best practices, seed selection, and modern farming technologies.
Data Tracking
- Monitor crop performance, estimate yields, and keep accurate records of field trials.
Sales & Relationship Building
- Build trust with local farmers, promote our specialized agricultural products, and achieve regional sales targets.
Carbon & Emissions
- Track and reduce the carbon footprint of our agricultural inputs e.g., fertilizers, fuel and explore regenerative agriculture methods.
