This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded professional who understands the agricultural sector, can analyse financial information, build lasting client relationships, and identify tailored finance solutions for farming and agri-business operations. Detail: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BCom Degree with Finance and/or Agriculture advantageous 2–5 years relevant work experience 5–10 years' experience in a sales or business development role within agriculture Proven experience in asset finance, agricultural finance, credit, or portfolio management Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements Sound understanding of the National Credit Act Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Play a pivotal role in driving business growth, maximising profitability, and fostering strong client relationships through effective new agri-business development, rigorous financial analysis, and strategic cross-selling efforts. We approach every day with a – client focus Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients (and/ or suppliers where applicable) in the agricultural sector Analyse market trends to capitalise on emerging opportunities Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and propose tailored financial solutions Collaborate with internal teams to structure deals that meet both client requirements and company objectives Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements Evaluate the financial viability of proposed deals and assess their potential impact on overall profitability Ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure Develop strong relationships with existing clients to uncover additional cross-selling opportunities We are looking for a candidate with a solid understanding of both agriculture and asset finance, who can confidently engage with farming clients and provide strategic financing solutions that support business growth.
