Our client is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer (Advanced) . This role is pivotal in providing cutting-edge IT solutions to global operations while ensuring the seamless integration and management of HR Data Management (MADAM) within the Group IT Hub South Africa .

• Location: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation

• Experience Required: 3-6 years in integration roles; 3+ years focused on SAP HR/SuccessFactors & CPI/BTP

Product / Team Context: HR Data Management (MADAM) offers IT solutions for master data and process management with a focus on the entire workforce, including process-related reporting, information management, and self-service functionalities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of interfaces connecting SAP HR (ECC/S4/HCM) and SuccessFactors with other enterprise systems using CPI, BTP and Kafka

• Develop integration designs, technical specifications, message mappings and error handling strategies in collaboration with HR and solution architects

• Build and configure CPI iFlows, mappings, and adapters; implement Kafka producers/consumers where event- driven patterns are required

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• 3-6 years' experience in integration roles with at least 3+ years focused on SAP HR/SuccessFactors integrations and SAP CPI/BTP.

• Proven track record delivering end-to-end interface solutions.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience designing, building and supporting SAP HR/SuccessFactors interfaces and integrations

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for message mapping, integration flows,   adapters and troubleshooting

• Practical experience with SAP BTP services relevant to integrations.

• Solid knowledge of REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC and other SAP integration protocols and formats

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with SAP HCM

• Experience with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Confluent Platform or managed Kafka services.
