Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for an AdTech Manager for their Head Office. The AdTech Manager role is responsible for overseeing Dis-Chem’s advertising technology ecosystem, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and tool configuration. The role ensures AdTech platforms are effectively implemented, integrated, and optimised to support efficient media activation, performance measurement, and scalable marketing execution across all channels.
Minimum Requirements… Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, Digital Marketing, or related field. • 5+ years’ experience in AdTech, digital marketing technology, or media technology roles • 2–3 years’ experience leading platform implementation, vendor coordination, or cross-functional digital delivery initiatives. • Proven experience managing AdTech vendors and platform implementations Responsibilities AdTech strategy, platforms and governance
• Define the AdTech roadmap aligned to Dis-Chem’s media strategy, marketing objectives, and data governance standards • Own selection, evaluation, and onboarding of AdTech vendors and platforms • Establish standards and governance for AdTech tool usage, configurations, and data flows Vendor management and commercial optimisation
• Manage AdTech vendor negotiations, contracts, and performance management • Ensure platforms deliver value, scalability, and cost efficiency • Manage vendor relationships to support ongoing optimisation, upgrades, and innovation Platform configuration, integration and enablement
• Oversee configuration and ongoing optimisation of AdTech tools (e.g. ad servers, DSPs, tracking and attribution platforms) • Ensure integration with media agencies, internal systems, and analytics environments • Enable effective use of AdTech platforms by Media Excellence and Integrated Marketing Campaign teams through guidance and standards Competencies Essential: Key competencies
• Strong understanding of AdTech platforms, ad serving, media activation, and measurement • Experience selecting, implementing, and configuring AdTech tools in retail, General Merchandise, or digital environments • Strong commercial and negotiation skills in vendor selection and contract management • Ability to balance innovation, cost efficiency, and operational stability • Structured, analytical approach to platform performance and optimisation Key Performance Indicators

- Commercial efficiency – Cost optimisation and value delivered through vendor negotiations
- Data and measurement quality – Accuracy of tracking, attribution, and reporting
- Stakeholder satisfaction – Feedback from Media, Campaign, and Analytics teams
