Job Context

The incumbent will   be responsible for   collecting data, collating,   submitting   and checking of the payrolls. The incumbent will also be responsible to administer all employee changes and leave applications on the online platform of the Bargaining Council .   To plan, organise and process payroll information within the payroll environment in alignment with predefined work   objectives   (as per agreed standard operating procedures). Perform payroll functions, ensuring   accurate   processing of employee data and   timely   payroll execution while adhering to company policies and standards. The role includes contributing to   optimizing   payroll processes, and   providing assistance to   stakeholders

Key Performance Areas

Collecting data, compiling   consolidated   reports   and   submitting   salary information to head office within the given deadlines

Monitoring of time and attendance system to   identify   discrepancies

Employee Administration & Filing

Liaising with Bargaining Council

Updating of employee data on Bargaining Council

Leave administration on Bargaining Council

Administrative and reporting functions

Attending to internal and external customers and any queries they need addressed

Execute day-to-day payroll functions, adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

Process employee data (financial and non-financial) accurately to ensure   accurate   processing of payroll transactions within the required payroll system/s.

Deliver payroll activities   in accordance with   SLAs and company standards, ensuring   timely   and   accurate   payroll processing.

Collaborate with payroll coordinators to improve overall payroll performance and employee satisfaction.

Ensure compliance with governance and statutory regulations.

Qualification required

Grade 12

Diploma /Degree in Finance, Human   Resource   or any other related qualification

Previous   experience in   relevant   environment will be an advantage.

Skills and experience required

  • One   year’s   experience   in a   financial   environment
  • Experience in   payroll   is   an   advantage
  • Above   average   excel   skills
  • Willingness   to   work   extended   hours   when   required
  • Working   knowledge   of SAGE   is   an   advantage
  • Independent,   analytical   thinker   and   self-motivated
  • Numerical   accuracy
  • Deadline   driven
  • Familiarity   with   payroll   operations   such as processing   payrolls   and   handling   NBCRFLI ( transport )   bargaining   council   data   is   an   advantage
