- Under the direction of the Site Security Manager SSM, the Overseas Buildings Operations OBO Administrative Clerk is responsible for the overall office management of security operations. When not conducting duties as an Administrative Clerk, the incumbent will fill in, when necessary, to assist the Foreign Service National Investigator FSNI with background investigation and vetting paperwork.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Support - Provides administrative support services to the Site Security Management office operations through direction from the Site Security Management.
- Financial Administration - Manage financial expenditures and accounting procedures.
- Other Administrative Duties - Performs administration as requested including coordinating receipt of goods and services; ensure receiving reports are signed. Liaise with the Consulate's Diplomatic Technology staff to establish the office computer network, manage system access control, and maintains operational protocols.
- Incumbent will be required to perform other duties as assigned by the agency.
Qualifications and Evaluations Requirements: All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:
Public Trust security clearance.
- All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
- Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 12 weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements
- Completion of secondary school is required.

Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum two 2 years of administration or management or customer service experience in an office environment is required.
Language
- English GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE
Job Knowledge
- Demonstrate knowledge of office administrative standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of host-nation customs and working practices in general to understand the local protocol for interpersonal interaction, communication, and norms.
Skills And Abilities
- Must be able to deal effectively with customers and organize own work to meet established deadlines.
- Good customer service orientation and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be able to use a computer for data entry, spreadsheets, word processing, and email.
- Ability to establish and maintain liaison with personnel at all levels in other organizations in order to coordinate personnel matters.
